Ex-Oak Park Police Officer Mr.
Mani Adams is Charged in Federal Crimes and is to be Tried in Court. by Ed Vincent Ex-Oak Park Police Officer Mr. Mani Adams (32 years old and an ex-policeman with 7 years experience) quit his job last year on December 9th, almost a year after trouble first raised its head in the officer many remembered as having smiles and a quiet demeanor. He remained quite a year or so ago when he was being investigated and his quiessence may continue all the way to the courtroom. One and a half years after all the problems surfaced, Mr. Mani Adams has now been charged conspiring to steal a semi-trailer truck filled with expensive televisions and other entertainment equipment. Indicted with Ex-Oak Park Police Officer Mr. Mani Adams, were Donald Brown, 31, and David Wilkins, 30, both from south side of Chicago. Even if Mr. Mani Adams is not found guitly of the charges against him he will not be coming back to Oak Park as a policeman because of his resignation under pressure to answer questions to the department. Ex-Oak Park Police Officer Mr. Mani Adams is due in court this Thursday in front of US Federal District Judge Harry D. Leinenweber. Mr. Adams paid his bond of $4,500 and remains at home. The hearing will be at the Northern District of Illinois, Everett McKinley Dirksen, United States Courthouse 219 South Dearborn Street, Chicago, Illinois. Judge Harry D. Leinenweber is no stranger to big cases, he has sentenced convicted Greylord judges, gang members, and others to jail. He has even caught the eye of legal investigator Sherman Skolnick-who does not appear to be a fan of the Judge. http://www.skolnicksreport.com/bankbord5.html Original Story and photos on Oak Park Police Officer Mani Adams and departmental questions in full text. ![]() ![]() © Oak Park Journal published by Suburban Journals of Chicago Inc. |
