Munster, Ind.— Scrooge!, The Musical, the whimsical holiday treat, previews November 15 and will open November 23 at Theatre at the Center, 1040 Ridge Road; it closes December 23.  This adaptation of A Christmas Carol will be directed by William Pullinsi. Scrooge!, The Musical stars James Harms as “Scrooge”, Dale Benson is “Marley” and Larry Adams as the “Ghost of Christmas Present”.

 

This festive musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel is a tale that has charmed generations with its tribute to the magic of the Christmas spirit. When miserly Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by ghosts of the past, present and future on Christmas Eve, he is threatened with a bitter and lonely future or offered redemption if he changes his selfish ways.  The ghosts take Scrooge on a journey through his life and teach him the real meaning of Christmas along the way.  Featuring hit songs such as “Thank You Very Much,” Scrooge!,The Musical is a musical that everyone in the family can enjoy as part of a holiday celebration.

 

Set Design is by Jack Magaw, Lighting Design is by Shelley Strasser-Holland, Costume Design is by Brenda Winstead, Sound Design is by Gaulo Amezcua,

Production Manager is Chuck Gessert, Stage Manager is Rita Vreeland and Technical Director is Ann Davis. In addition to Direction by William Pullinsi, Choreography is by Stacey Flaster and Musical Direction is by William A. Underwood.

 

Founded in 1991, Theatre at the Center is a year-round professional, equity theater at its home, The Center for Visual and Performing Arts, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana.  Theatre at the Center is conveniently located off I-80/94, just 35 minutes from downtown Chicago.
