are being seen more frequently in our region. Should that
be cause for alarm? Join us for a discussion of these animal’s life history, ranges, and interactions with humans. For adults and older children; free. Please register.

Nature Story Time: Nature-inspired stories, crafts and activities for ages 3 – 5 with an adult. $1.00 per child. Thursdays, Nov. 6, 20, 10:30 a.m.

Thatcher Woods Savanna Restoration: Join your neighbors in restoring plant and wildlife habitat in Forest Preserves along the Des Plaines River. All tools provided. Meet at

Morning Fitness Hike: Take a brisk 1 hour hike with a Naturalist to see what is going on in nature this month.

Meet a Raptor: View a hawk and falcon up close, and learn about these majestic bird’s special adaptations that allow them to live year-round in this area. For families with children age 5 and above; free. Please register. Sunday, November 23, 1:00 p.m.

Turkey Trot: Walk off that turkey dinner with a Naturalist as we take a special post-holiday hike on the scenic trails around Trailside Museum. Family program; free. Please register. Friday, November 28, 1:00 p.m.

Feeding Time at Trailside: Enjoy seeing and learning about Trailside’s resident outdoor animals such as an owl, hawk, coyote and fox as we give these critters their dinner! Family program; free! Sunday, Nov. 30, 2:30 p.m.
