JEWEL-OSCO Set to Remodel
Oak Park Store

Renovation Project Scheduled to Begin in Late March

 

(Itasca, IL) March 10, 2009 — JEWEL-OSCO, a leading
Midwest food and drug retailer, will remodel its store located at
438 W. Madison St., in Oak Park, Illinois, to align the store’s
design with the company’s Premium Fresh and Healthy concept
and enhance the customer shopping experience.

 

Construction will begin in late March and continue until the end
of August, when a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held to mark
the grand re-opening of the Madison Street location.

 

“At that time, we invite the community to visit our renovated
store,” said Jewel Store Director Ed Kolodziej.  “I know customers
will enjoy the convenience and full array of services that will
be available to them once the store has been remodeled.”

 

Several areas will be new and improved after the renovation, including:
 
  • Chef’s Kitchen Deli
  • Butcher Block premium meat department
  • Pier 14 for fresh cut fish
  • Produce
  • Dairy & Frozen
  • BakeShop
  • Floral
  • JEWEL-OSCO PHARMACY service area

The JEWEL-OSCO on Madison Street in Oak Park will remain open during the remodeling.  Store hours are Monday-Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to midnight and 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Sunday.  For more information, shoppers can call the store’s Customer Service at (708) 383-7111.
