‘Oak Park Architectural League Members Show 2009’ at Library through December 30
Members of the Oak Park Architectural League (OPAL) will have their work on display at the Oak Park Public Library from Dec. 2 to Dec. 30, 2009. A reception for the OPAL members will in the Library Gallery on Wednesday, Dec. 9, beginning at 6 p.m. Darrel Babuk, Garret Eakin, Thomas Kapusta and Chris Goode will speak about their work beginning at 7 p.m. The reception and program is free and open to the public. The Oak Park Public Library closes at 9 p.m.
The exhibit will include photographs of completed work, renderings of works in progress, models, decorative details and artwork by architects who live or work in Oak Park. The exhibit is open seven days a week, during regular Library hours. For information, call (708) 383-8200.
The Oak Park Architectural League is an association of architects and architectural interns who either live in or have their practices in Oak Park or River Forest. OPAL was founded in 1988 to promote fellowship and sharing of design and technical information among its members, as well as generally promoting high quality design in the built environment.
