Despite 18-Points from Luol Deng and 16-points from Derrick Rose the
Chicago loses at home 90-82 to the 20-27 Los Angles Clippers on Tuesday
night
at the United Center.
Chicago appeared to be out-of-sync from the onset returning home after
a
two weeks on the road they were unable to sustain their offense
throughout
the contest scoring only 16-points in the 2nd quarter and a meager
19-points
in the final quarter.
Coach Vinny Del Negro said after the game, "When your top players
aren't playing
well it hard to beat any team. Tonight we didn't play well. Whether its
the
first game back after a long trip we lost and there are no excuses. We
got
to go play tomorrow night (Philadelphia)."
However, the Clippers jumped out to a 31-26 lead in first quarter and
held a 16-point margin midway in the 4th quarter. Hot shooting by the
Clippers 45%
for the game made L.A. difficult to catch. Contributions from Guard
Eric Gordon
24-points and Center Chris Kaman scored 21-points allowed the Clippers
to keep
control of the game. The talented Kaman returned from the injury list
tonight
and made his presence known scoring early from inside and outside the
paint.
